Intel Build - Which CPU and Motherboard are right for my needs?

Thread Starter
I'm building a new Rig while all of these sales are going on. While money isn't an issue, I am looking for the right Processor and Mobo to handle my uses with ease but I don't want to waste a bunch of money on high-end equipment and not need it.

Uses will be:

Video Editing - Adobe After Effects CS5 mostly but maybe a few others
Photo Editing - Adobe Photoshop CS5
Gaming - Diablo 3 and possibly League of Legends are the ONLY games I will be playing. I play everything else on Console.

I've been looking at several different CPUs including the i7 2600K, i5 2500K, i7 950, i5 760, and the other variations of those particular chips but I'm honestly not sure how much power I need for Video/Photo Editing or to run Diablo 3 at MAX SETTINGS with relative ease. When it comes to Motherboards, I'm honestly not sure what to look for.

Which CPU and Mobo would you guys recommend and please back it up with an explanation so I know it's what I'm looking for.

Thanks for the help!

Because your Video and Photo Editing I would suggest getting 2600K. The HT on the 2600K will speed up your work. If you where just gaming then I would of said 2500K, But the HT of the 2600K is nice when Video and Photo Editing thumb.gif
