Well I decided to mock together my setup for initial testing and found that the screws on the H70 are too small for the socket. And after an email to Corsair's Tech Dept, found out that the H70 does NOT support the 2011 even though their product page says it is supported. mad.gif So now i have to modify my H70 or buy a new cooler.

So what cooler are you guys using on your SB-E's?

Hi,
i am using H70 on 2011. I have just made screw pads shorter biggrin.gif, i am using original back plate, screws, modified pads and thats all biggrin.gif
Dont worry about tightening, socket's iron plate is heavy and will hold the mobo.

one month necro... Yeah i got it ssolved that day. bought some longe socket head screws that fit the board and drilled out and shortened the 1355 "adapters". Then i sold off the chip. Waiting for the 3820s to come out.

my 3930k @ 5.0Ghz SMP is getting 55k PPD and 1:38 TPF. Dunno if that's good or bad though, I just started today.

that sounds about right. Run Ubunto 10.10 in a VM and get some bigadv's going. 100k+ PPD. Make that 360W out of the wall worth more.
