What's a good gaming monitor? Budget is under $300 with tax.

what was wrong with it...I'm interested in that exact monitor...probably ghosting im guessing. I'll probably go with a 24" asus tn panel on black friday for gaming. The samsung 120hz monitors are above your budget, but are considered the top performers for gaming.

Its actually not that. just that i did not like the color. It had this weird tint going on really weird. I couldn't get it to go away even with calibration. So, I sent it back and am looking for something else.

Perhaps you should give it another try, sounds like you got a dud.

The colour is what makes these monitors stand out from the cround, probably was a dud if its that bad, they provide the colour that is meant to be shown and evenly. If it isnt a dud then TN panels have destroyed your eyes tongue.gif

I will give it another try. Maybe I just got a dud. I calibrated my television from the overblown store floor colors it had so it can't be my eyes tongue.gif

ok so I have had the second one for the past few days and... I am just not liking it. Viewing angles are terrible compared to my G235H sitting right next to it. Colors are slightly better but not enough to justify price. I am returning it tomorrow and maybe looking at just getting an ssd for my system or saving up for one of the samsung monitors. frown.gif

Huh? You're TN monitor has better viewing angles than the IPS? You must be describing something else, because that is just not correct.
