can i run 2 monitors without a gpu?

can i run 2 monitors without a video card?

my mobo has dvi and vga, would it work if one monitor goes in dvi and i got a vga to dvi converter and that would go in the 2nd monitor would that work? cuz i really need 2 montiors 1 for work and the other for videos

if this doesnt work is there another way?

It depends on the motherboard, but it most likely would not work.

If this is from you APU, i think it supports Eyefinity. I think it should work, try it.

worst case you will need a really cheap GPU like the 6450 or something along those lines.

yes you can run two monitors, as long as its just one digital display and one vga display. DVI + VGA works in your case.

See the diagram below for easy reference. You can use the VGA output and the DVI output to connect to 2 monitors simultaneously.

Note that the VGA is an analog output and so you can only convert it to DVI-A (analog) with an adapter/cable.
For the DVI output, it is a DVI-D (digital) output.

(Of course, you can use the HDMI output to substitute the DVI-D)
