1. I need access to an iPhone 4s
2. I need to find all of the tools and learn how to use them in order to extract the iPhone 4s identifier
3. I need to figure out how to get it all onto my phone
As I said, takes too much time as it is right now and I don't have an iPhone 4s to extract from. Additionally there is no keygen currently available to give a "legit" identifier. I read through the article and I failed to see where they mentioned the possibility of a key generator being developed. So again I will say at this point this is not for me.

I would actually go through that hassle lol

That'll never happen if Apple is smart enough. They have a list of every identifier they've physically produced.

Think of it this way, you can easily get a keygen for any Adobe product that will get you past installation, but the keys don't activate.

I'm not too worried about finding a legit device identifier though.. half of my friends have/will get a 4S.

Any natural language needs to work flawlessly 99 times out of 100 to be acceptable for day to day use. I don't know that we are there yet.

LOLWUT.

How is hacking dumb? Hacking means I can use Siri on my existing phone rather than shelling out £700 for the locked down nonsense that is the iPhone.

I have to agree with Mygaffer. I don't think that natural language voice technology is mature enough yet for day to day use. It has to work at least 95% of the time. But I do have to say that I like the voice search functions on android phones. I just don't like the fact that I have to speak louder than my normal tone it get to pick up what I am saying. It should be able to pick up the normal tone and pitch in voice like a human does.

LOL, you not understanding the meaning of "hacking" is.... well... yeah.

The computer you're working on right now is a result of hackers. Cars are a result of hackers. Distruptive technologies are often a result of hacking. rolleyes.gif

So... would you mind giving me $2000 for the 4S and 2-yr contract? It's not that hard, right?

That's not an issue with the AI of natural language voice technology. That would be an issue of signal processing which is completely different field.

Siri = Software
Iphone 4s = Hardware

If I told you; your computer even though you own it, could not run the next version of windows, JUST BECAUSE I SAID SO and you needed to run the next version of windows to say.. do work for your job..

and then some hacker makes the next version of windows compatible with your computer, for free and tells you I PERSONALLY SET OUT TO CRIPPLE YOUR COMPUTER from running my new software...

would you be fine with that? is that ok? can I do that just because I WANT YOU TO HAVE TO SPEND MORE MONEY ON A NEW PC OR PHONE?

Lets do another: Your car,
I don't care for your car.. so I jacked up the price of gas really high and then made E84 cost 0.50 cents a gallon, There are hackers that could make your car run on E84 (an E84 conversion kit if you will) made by hackers, but I know how much you hate hackers and I know that your car is not E84 compatible.. I will FORCE you to buy a new $20,000 dollar car, because I want you to have to spend more money and buy my new car.

Lets do another: Your Playstation 3 (yea you seem like a console kinda guy)
Your playstation 3 could run the new COD, Dirt3, Skyrim, Gran Trismo 6, and God of War, but I dont want you to play these great games unless you buy my new console which I jacked the price up on, I also told you Its impossible to make these games work with your PS3... But then Hackers just got these games ported to playstation 3 - to prove that I lied to you..

are you happy? are you happy with the lie?

After reading this article I came to the conclusion that Apple does not own or have any rights on Siri.

If someone cares to correct me please properly quote the article and clarify my mistake.

Apple purchased Siri from its developers. It's Apples.

It's going to be like sony. This time, the hackers will be sued.

And no, it's not like jailbreaking, because with jailbreaking you don't steal their patented apps and code!

(please don't flame if i am wrong. This is my opinion)

As that saying goes, if you leave your car unlocked, don't be surprised if it gets broken into. No different then, if you can't code, don't be surprised that someone is going to get in. (I don't believe in that saying anyways, what crap)

Things like this, when it just benefits the consumer to continue to purchase your devices rather then feel cheated is great for the end user and developers. Mod support is what keeps many people on PC games. Just like this, if it is ported to the other iPhones, it could make a lot of customers happy.

I know if I had a crummy iPhone, I would feel cheated when there is nothing special about the iPhone 4S that the iPhone 4 won't be able to run. SIRI isn't even a demanding application. It has been proven to work on other iPhone devices.

Classic. I'm surprised he didn't respond. He loves his iPhone 4S too much, to even understand what you wrote.
