Witcher 2 on a GTX460/OC

I just bought an MSI GTX460 OC and i was wondering how it will perform on The Withcer 2. I don't want to go on and buy the game and not be able to enjoy it.
You can check my rig at the bottom. I play on 1080p.

Thanks in advance.

I got roughly 40 fps on medium clocking in at 900mhz on core. I tried high for fun and it was barely 20-24 FPS, SLI my friend!

That's really disappointing... and also your cpu is better than mine by far. Is it playable at 40 fps?
And what about this? Is nvidia suggesting that the game is playable at 32 fps? I think it's too low.

I don't remember doing a performance test post patch 1.1 with a single card, but I do remember that I was able to achieve a constant 60 FPS with my SLI 460s on High preset.

The game looks awesome, just enjoy it and don't worry about what # FPS is being displayed in the corner. If it turns out that high is too taxing, then drop a few things and play around with the settings.

This.. this game is so worth playing at any frame rate. I believe it's patched up to 2.0. now.

It'll run fine. Don't get alarmed when you see people talking about framerates at ultra settings, you can play it just fine at normal quality settings. You can't run at ultra or with uber sampling, those will kill the framerate even on the best computers.

Wow, maybe it is time to fire it up again.

On 2.0 I was getting 40+ frames on high with ubersampling off and everything else at high except shadows.

Don't be ashamed of your cards performance in The Witcher 2. That game still gives my rig a run for it's money with Ultra & Ubersampling.

You can practically hear the cards panting as they struggle to push the FPS to 60. Every other game I own is a joke to this setup, except The Witcher 2. frown.gif
