other than the difference in price which would you say is better in performance and overall battery life/wireless? Im a logitech fan so im alittle biased but I want to know if the mamba is worth its price or not.

Mamba is worth it compared to the G700 as I found the G700 quite uncomfortable, the side grip was waaay too rough for my liking (identical to having a sandpaper stuck on it), the wheel is waaay too loose, and I prefer having the sensor in the centre of the bottom of the mouse. So, I stuck with the DeathAdder which it was supposed to replace. The charging cable for the G700 was too thick as well. Setpoint also isnt that good of a program, I had alot more troubles with it not detecting my mouse compared to Razer's driver software. The battery life is decent however, and the buttons once you get it to work, work pretty well (I had to change the button layouts on my laptop, I believe its a 64bit problem).

However, the Mamba isnt worth it compared to mice like the DeathAdder which has a better sensor than the Mamba. As the sensor in the DA has zero acceleration. If the Mamba has the same sensor I would have bought it in a heartbeat, but alas.

If you are a palm grip/ claw grip with slightly larger than average hands, Mamba for wireless, DeathAdder for everything else.

G700 if you just want a MMORPG wireless mouse with tons of buttons.

Battery Life for both is decent as you can charge on the fly. But the Mamba charging system makes it better as you basically run the mouse cable from the charging dock, while the G700 uses a bluetooth dongle AND another cable for the wired mode. So basically, you are using the wireless dongle with the USB extender provided, and then running another USB cable from another port to let you charge. The Mamba has the wireless dongle and the charging cable in the bling-bling dock.

I litrally bought one yesterday...

I had mt Logitech G5 for 3 years and it was great, loved the feel, the ability to change the weight and on the fly dpi changes,

the Cable began to fray in a few places and it kept loosing connection mid-game (obviously time for a new one)

I was looking at the Logitech offering but it didn't seem as solid as the G5 was, the mamba was in a league of its own, it felt perfect, the weight the shift and the btn locals - one thing i don't like is the sensitivity changing button is on the left of the left mouse button, meaning during intense button bashing sessions you can accidentally change the sensitivity...

I don't think the mouse is worth 120Euro, but the display case that it comes in is!!!

As a Graphic Designer i was left jaw wide when i opened the box, every part of the package has been lovingly designed and with flare, the little draws you get to put the accessories in are adorable and quality oozes from every corner of the product and packaging.

So in conclusion it was an impulse buy, but after careful inspection and utilisation i'm very pleased, i'm sure it will show its value in the years to come.

I have the mamba and I don't like the form and the poor build quality of it. (And from the above post you see where the money went hehe, some prefer nice packaging) I almost never used it wireless, but from what I remember the battery life was good.

Try them both and see which one you feel the most comfortable with.

I love my mamba. I have very large hands, so it is nice to have a mouse that somewhat conforms to them. I've used my friends MX518 (or whatever it's called) and several other mice, but nothing else has the same feel as my Mamba.

It's a great mouse. Enjoy it!!!

I didnt give the deathadder much thought because it wasnt wireless but if its as decent as you say then I might just get that. But then there is that cord which sucks, where do people place it when the case is far away from the mouse?

Get a USB extension. I use the cord on my Mamba all the time. The battery life is horrible, and I've never had any luck with wireless mice.

The Deathadder is a good mouse too.

I have both the mamba and the g700. Overall i like the feel of the mamba better then the g700 but the mouse but the percission of the g700 IMO is better for fps after some sensitivity tuning. So far they seem to have the same battery life, but the cord on the g700 is alot stiffer when your using it with the cord, so it can hamper moment if it get caught on something. the g700 has a very nice scroll wheel as it can be shifted between "friction-less" and click style. Overall i do like the g700 for its features but i find the mamba is more comfortable (though not saying that the g700 isent uncomfortable, its just kinda ... eh).

Sorry typed this up in a rush, have to go right now >_<<br />
Edit: oh im currently using the g700

on a full charge the mamba lasts about 13 hours before it quits on you and need s a recharge.

that being said, ive used both and i ended up with a mamba as the g700 cramped my hands after a couple of hours of use (mainly around my pink finger and tendons).
