Kindle Fire - Page 16

I haven't got a stylus for mine but I don't do a ton of typing/posting on it. I will get 1 at some point. I have fairly large hands and that makes it hard for me to type anything on a tablet without a lot of corrections. The only accesory I've purchased so far is the Marware case from amazon.com for $29.99. I love it. If you're in the market for a case check it out.

Every time I used it I felt like I could just do this on my phone which was more comfortable.

Install Opera. Then your problem was solved...but nope. lol

How is the Kindle fire these days? Im looking to get one to actually use as an ebook reader and secondarily as a tablet
post #154 of 157
Fantastic. ICS support has come a long way since I got it. Don't pay retail price for it though, its not worth it. Google is releasing their own 7" Nexus tablet for a bit more that's packing a higher res screen and likely Jellybean. Not to mention it will likely have an accelerometer, bluetooth, volume buttons, and probably a microSD reader, all of which are lacking on the Fire.

As an eBook reader that also works as a tablet its great, but don't pay more than $150 for one.

My dad's wanting to buy one... where you can pick one up for $150?

When's this Google slate coming out?

eBay. Mine was $150. Also, Amazon was selling refurb ones a while ago. Lots of people buy them, realize the stock firmware is horrible, and are unwilling/unable to root and install CM9.

And the Nexus tablet should be unveiled at Google I/O on June 29. Its started showing up on benchmarking sites with a 1280x768 resolution, made by ASUS. The price could be anywhere from $150 to $250, although I'd put it at $200 or over.

Ah I see, probably wait for the Nexus slate then. Cheers.
