Have you tried Skyrim with your 3-CF setup? It`s unplayable!

Basically if you wanted to face problems in any form your setup is the one someone would get. With all the possibilities of something going wrong. Sorry to say man but AMD got no time for very few 2 x HD 6990 owners. Now they are thinking of HD 7990.

I know that's a realistic assessment of whats going on here but still, that's a piss poor excuse to give paying customers. AMD's driver team is in need of a serious overhaul and better leadership. We need to start gettin on their ass for better driver prep for big title releases, to include caps and overall QC. It has gotten so bad lately that it isn't all to uncommon to see games that just don't work properly "out of the box" and sometimes it can take a month or more to finally get it up to snuff. If they need to work closer with devs then so be it. They shouldn't be skimping on driver support. I understand there are always unforseen circumstances, I just would appreciate that they work with a little more transparency and make it a point keep their paying customers up to date. Accountability. I'm sick of being a beta tester. They owe it to their customers and overall they will sell more cards which should easily cover the added cost of more staff if they need it.

I've gotta agree with you. Crysis 2, battlefield 3, skyrim and I'm sure there are others that were absolutely horrid on release with AMD cards. I still like AMD and I still think they make great cards but their software side really has to start catching up to their hardware. It seemed they were doing much better awhile ago but each big release I've gotten in the last several months have had terrible xfire scaling and just overall buggy compared to nvidia and at least if nvidia cards were having an issues they got an update out quickly(Granted I've heard some people have had issues with the latest drivers but still.)

Same locking up issues with BF3 when CF. I was under the impression BF3 is one of the main reasons whey they released this new drivers.

Oh well, I'll wait for the 11.12 and hopefully I can play BF3 running CF.

That's a CF issue that crashing my BF3? I tried everything I could think of to stop getting the dreaded "BF3 has stopped working" error. I removed all my overclocks. I installed windows and BF3 fresh. have the 11.10 drivers with CAP4 and it still crashes on me. I never thought to see if it crashed with just one card... As others have expressed here, I am seriously thinking of going the Nvidia route next time. Crysis 2, BFBC2, BF3, Skyrim. ALL broken on release and sometimes for months afterward. Not acceptable at all.

Besides the beta, I have been lucky with BF3. I haven't had any problems since its release with my 6990's in CF. Try using 11.10ver2 or ver3. Both worked great without even installing CAP4. I did install it however after testing and noticed no difference. The game has been running flawlessly on ultra @ 2560x1600. I even run it with supersampling enabled through the drivers and never dip below 60fps. Vsync for me was a must with my panel to avoid tearing, but it turned out running the game with it off caused the occasional stutter which i beleive was just the constant scaling adjustments to spreadload the gpu usage when constantly fluctuating from 80-150fps. Vsync on kept the framerate locked in at 60 with nice and even gpu usage, and for those using air cooling, lower temps. It's win win. Also try turning on tripple buffering as well just for grins and see if that helps. I noticed that on ver2 it seemed to help smooth out the game even further. Like glass, without any noticable input lag. With ver3 i didnt notice a difference with tripple buffering so I just left it off.

I realize you are using cf'd 5 series cards but its worth a shot.

I can't play the game since I upgraded to these drivers.... It crashes when I go to change the video options. So frustrating.

Will someone please set up custom video options for medium with all special features turned off so I can copy the values to my setting/profile file? I'd really appreciate it.

Before this driver I had no problems until Origin started acting up today.
