27" 1080p is too big imo....find a good 120hz 23" or 24" 1080p....its clearer/sharper. 27" has bigger pixel pitch..and a little too blurry imo..but it might be ok..if you don't have a 23" 1080p right next to it to compare...

malikq86 - I've got the exact opposite opinion... I feel that a 27" at 1080p can be the perfect resolution depending on how far away you are from your monitors. I upgraded from 2x23" @ 1080p to a 27" w/a spare 22" and I will not go back to a smaller monitor. I don't know what monitors you've looked at but I see no blur whatsoever.
i think the key here is distance. 27" further back will look exactly like a 23" closer. As for blur...its not blurry...that was wrong, i just meant it wasn't as sharp as 23" 1080p...at a close distance. 27" 1080p is fine...it's personnel preference and depends on how far you sit as you said.

I really want to jump on the XL2410T, but all the problems I hear about scare me. Some of the issues include: bad colors, dead pixels, bleeding.

First post- I figured I'd weigh in, since I bought the XL2410T refurbished a few months ago. I don't think the price will be beat on any of the 120 Hz monitors anytime soon.

I have not had any of the issues that others have had with the monitor. The contrast could be a little better in my opinion (not the point of a 120 Hz TN, but worth mentioning), but I'm otherwise quite happy with the performance. The monitor came with firmware 005, which is supposed to fix the bleeding on this monitor. I have not experienced any bleeding issues.

The bezel is a little on the thick side if you want to do eyefinity/surround in my opinion. I think it would be workable but not ideal.

Overall, I am pleased with my purchase, but I have doubts about Benq's quality control. The monitor has performed great for me. It was also shipped with the back plate upside down- not a good first impression. If I were in the market for a monitor, I would buy it for $200. I'd first try to talk to chat to find out their return policy as well as attempt to guarantee I'd be able to RMA free of charge if I were unhappy with it. Though I think ordering one is a bit of a gamble, I think the price makes it worthwhile (even with BF coming soon). I can't give a full endorsement due to my reservations about Benq quality control, but I think the price and quality of the monitor makes it worth ordering.

3D monitors are worth it because the 120hz makes games with fast motion (especially, if you play FPS or racing games) feel smoother. It's one of those things..that you will notice right away..but over time forget...if you play BF3 on a 60hz and 120hz side by side...you would realize/see the difference (or so they say).

It's easy to get used to 120hz, hard to go back to 60hz....the same is said about IPS monitors. That's why I have both...heheh. As long as you get 60+ fps consistently...I say it worth it, if you find a good deal. If you don't like it...return it...that's always a nice backup plan. =)

Make sure you get a good 120hz monitor..good colors..good viewing angles...fast response times...check reviews. My favorites are Samsung A750D/A950D (glossy), Planar SA2311 (matted), Asus VG236HE (glossy). This BenQ should be good enough also, tho some people have bad experiences (again return check return policy) - but if you get one in good condition at a great price...why not? worth it.

FYI - personally I think Samsung A750D/A950D...is the best monitor overall. great colors, good viewing angles, and 120hz (but def. the most expensive!). closest thing to best of both worlds (IPS, 120hz)...however, I wish they made 24" and 25" models...and greater than 1080p. 23" is just slightly too small for me...and 27" is too big for 1080p for me.

I like to use my 24" 1200p IPS for work/web/movies (easier on eyes, feels like the perfect size to me, I also love 16:10 ratio - something you can't find in 120hz monitors)..and my 23" 120hz for gaming.

Just to note, I just ordered one. I went ahead with a CSP, and asked about the refurbished condition. The CSR said they are basically like new and they were used 1 time only in a gaming event. They will include D-sub, DVI-D and HDMI cables. They told me by next week they should be expecting to ship.

I dont think so, Alienware is usually overpriced and has the brand premium. I dont think even the Refurb would get close to $200.
