Well it ran Prime blend ~4hrs, played BF3 for a few hours and other random stuff. No hiccups of any sort. I don't need more confirmation then that wink.gif 24hrs of pure torture is not needed IMO.

^ Moar Vcore!

Also, get RealTemp GT 3.7 so you can actually see the core temperatures; that monitoring software doesn't look comprehensive to me.
Kind of off topic but with the recent stability comments... I feel BF3 is a better test of my PC's stability than P95 or IBT. I can run P95 for 12+ hrs and still get BF3 to crash with a 101 BSOD biggrin.gif Mowr vcore plz mad.gif

You know what the best test is?

Folding wink.gif

And it just so happens that the Chimp Challenge starts tomorrow. (NB: read my sig if none of that made any sense at all tongue.gif)

We could really do with some of you guys with the 3930K and 3960Xs to assist in the best annual competition OCN has to offer! We have prizes, including cookies! (Actual, real cookies). Plus it helps science. It's all explained in the link in my sig. Basically you can push your awesome gear to it's limits, and help Stanford Uni cure lots of horrible diseases too thumb.gif

I'll be back tomorrow to remind you all again, but it starts in 24 hours eek.gif

(on topic; BF3 will test all-round stability because it's pushing data all around, rather than just RAM->CPU as Prime etc. do)
I'll chime in on that stability talk. Tinkering with Offset and I did find that yes BF3 is good as is Microsoft's Flight. That game pushes the cores all over as well as my SLI setup. Had to bump it another .005v and it seems to have fixed it.

I can attest to this. I'm going to be using my old 2600K machine for the Chimp Challenge and did a test with FAH and it crashed within 15 minutes. Had to up the vcore a little. It had previously passed IBT & prime.

Wish I could spare my 3930K machine for this challenge, lots of cool prizes and for such a good cause.

not putting the system on Prime95 for 12 hours,
or not doing torture tests = denial.

if your system is stable, you won't mind doing it. tongue.gif

for me
3930k at 1.50Vcore, Multiplier 50 on bclk:100
has been doing this for 24/7 for 4 months now.

on benching, this chip can handle 1.6V with no signs of stress or degration.

though since Intel listed VID max at 1.52V, I try to put my 24/7 within that range.
Have my 3930K @ 4.6 ghz 1.35 Vcore, Max temp about 72 degree per Real temp. Average about 66. good for 24/7?
