what are your temps like right now? You're air cooled right?
Nope water cooled (see sig). For that 5Ghz run most cores were at 69/70. Hottest was 74. VRMs were at 70 as well. That's also the reason why I'm not interested in hanging out in 1.4v land for my 24/7 overclock.

I attempted 5.1, prime detected an error right off the bat. Added another 5mv in the bios, started up prime again. Grabbed a glass of water, came back and my pc had shut down completely. I think in that case I need to adjust the motherboard power settings to higher limits. Also since my 24/7 OC is so light on power (relatively), I don't have any active VRM cooling at the moment, so that could also be a factor.

This is the daily driver:

Nothing out of the ordinary. I'll get some screen shots up when I get home.

LLC is at medium, vcore off-set is +60mv.

I ran a prime blend last night to test out my ram running at 2133 10-10-10-28-1T. It ran for 6.5hrs, but one core errored out at 5.5hrs. I noticed when I stopped prime the voltage was occasionally jumping down to 1.304. Adding another 5mv should take care of that. For me personally, I consider it stable. I won't be folding or doing anything critical. I bought the CPU primarily for media encoding as well as being on the more robust x79 platform. Also I love the boost I get in RTS/strategy games. wink.gif

Wish mine would do 4.8 on that Vcore... I'm stuck at 4.5 @ the same due to heat vs noise (H80 with slow noctuas)

Is yours a C2?

I have no evidence to back it up, but it seems like C2s are a little better. Could just be simply because they were manufactured a couple months after the first revision so the SB-E process matured a bit. Similar to what we're seeing with the new 7970s coming with 1100Mhz stock clocks at a lower voltage than mine at 925!
