wow... my c2 sucks 1.4V to get a unstable 4.5GHz and that is only 1 hour P95 stable, although my H100 can't keep up so my thermals were right on edge there...

$35 for a new one if you're into that.

What version of prime95 are you guys using?

Yeah it is, it's a Costa Rica (C2). I've got mine stable for folding though, which I've always noticed to be a bit more stressful than the usual (Prime95)

Stock clocks of 1.1Ghz does look immense on those 7970s; my launch-day Sapphires do 1075 on stock Vs though, so I'm not sure just how exciting they are

Mine will stay stable for 4+ hrs blend but I've seen errors pop up around the 6 hour mark. I wouldn't call it folding stable, but it's fine for me. I doubt anything I do with this CPU comes within 40-50 watts of the load P95 pulls.

^ this is so true......mine is a C2 as well....

LOL....folding is usually how i test my OC's....i guess that really isnt the best way is it...

I have lapped many CPU's in the past but I have the tuning plan so I'll see what happens.

If you ever go to a full loop, you should give a good look at the XSPC Raystorm. It generally has a very strong bow which usually makes it an ideal block for 1155. However given your degree of concave, the Raystorm may just be what the doctor recommends without having to resort to lapping.

Nice OC! You may be able to shave a few degrees of by lowering CPU PLL voltage. Start at 1.825 or so and keep lowering till unstable or around 1.80.
