Hey guys, so OCN is putting together a huge Folding@Home competition later this month, the 2012 Forum Folding Wars. It is going to be a really exciting and very competitive (all in the fun name of science!) OCN is split into different teams and it is a week of full out war to get as many points as possible.

I call out to you guys, the SBE men and women because it is rigs like the ones we have that can win or loose the competition for a team. I urge all of you folders and everyone who has been thinking about folding to come out and sign up to fold for the Intel Team this month.

You can still fold under whatever username you had been folding for, you don't even have to leave a team competition. All you need to do is go to this page and sign up!

Sign up and bring as many builds/rigs/GPUs and overclocked SB-e CPUs that you can!

It would be great if you guys could come out and use that awesome computing power that the SB-es have for a good research cause!

And don't feel as though you must fold for the entire week the contest goes on, every little thing helps!

Selling my 3820 - but X79/SB-E is a great combo. It's not hard to build a high end 2011 system for the same price as a LGA 1155 system and lets not forget LGA 2011 has an upgrade path - LGA 1155 doesn't

I will be joining you guys shortly. Just finished installing the new rig with 3930k and RIVF. So far testing 4.6 to ease into gear. My cpu is c1 stepping though, do I need to worry about something? Not gonna use vm or something like that.

I know it looks dead, i submitted my application to join about 4 weeks ago and still nothing. So I thought nothing is going on here and not bothered since then....

hmm maybe an op will transfer the tread to someone who will maintain it?

Has anyone asked the OP if he is interested in doing that?
