I have finally gotten my 24/7 to the point where I can label her rock solid.

http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=2136794

I tried for 1.29v but she couldn't take the low volts. I forgot to take a picture before trying 1.29v but my temps on the H100 @ load were 44-46c max 55c on initial load before the H100 kicked into a higher flow rate and fan speed. Test was Prime95 for 5 hours and then Adobe After Effects encoding (for real world use).

Now I'll shoot for 5.0ghz stable.

Edit: i got a phone call in the middle of writting this and hit send. LOL
This will drain everything out of the board. But take the battery out as well pull all the power from the board and if the board has a CL Cmos BOARD JUMPER(not a CL CMOS Button) use the jumper for about 30 minutes with nothing attached to the board. It may work. Your settings should not had been enough to wig the board out.. I suppose I didnt read your post thoroughly

Thanks guys- What I did was similar to abeeftec's advice, however I had to boot into the 2nd BIOS w/o RAM and clear that before I was able to boot again into the BIOS at all. I think BIOS1 got corrupted after leaving the machine hanging w/ a BSOD for several hours while I was at work. Windows was crap afterward, I had to reformat.

I'm up and running!

EDIT: 4.5 at 1.365 booted into windows for a second and crashed.. Had to bump it up to 1.38 to stabilize general browsing/etc.

EDIT #2: 4.5 stable for several passes in prime at 1.44 (cpu-z reading) and 1.455 (bios setting). I'm happy with that for now.

I have had amazing temps with the H100 that are on par with many custom loops I've seen, so I think generally speaking the H80/H100 will fall more into the Liquid category. If someone went and benched in freezing weather, it would probably appear outside of the norm for the majority of other Air benchmarks, which would appear questionable I'd imagine.

That is totally my point.
If there was one person who had all the types of cooling on the same CPU it would show what the difference between the types of cooling and how a CPU differs in regards to voltage and heat.

@Sin - I understand people can take their system outside. But they would have a real hard time explaining air cooling with -6c temps on their realtemp shot.
That would essentially be sub zero cooling since it would in fact be sub zero. Basically what you are saying is the reason why I said people should have to add temps to their posts.
It would still be learning. If someone puts their air system through -6 outside temps showing the temps will at least show everyone else HOW he was able to cool his system. It would still be educational.
Its in the same way I was able to get a bit higher by icing down my dual pass rads. It still wasnt sub zero because I was not electrically icing it down. It was MELTING as it was cooling. And I did disclose that. My attempt is that we be informative to people.

And I did have 5.5ghz before the meltdown. And I believe it if had not been for the Meltdown I would have had 5.6ghz as well. I was moving up very slowly. It was nighttime on downtime at stock speed when the meltdown happened. 1AM while watching TV on my PC. I would have clocked and posted the 5.5ghz the following day and then went on if that had not happened. I dont believe I would have gotten any higher then 5.6ghz though. And when I get my new hadware in I will do it again.biggrin.gif

But regardless of how the thread remains. Temps should be shown. That should be a necessity.

And by the way, I fully expect TURN & BURN to beat my score tomorrow on his MSI board that is stable.

well yes, but when you add a realtemp shot you also add a stability tester because then not only is a CPU-Z validation required. id say either add some sort of stability requirement, or leave it as it is.

Best heat spreader I've ever seen applied to a cpu. I've never seen the temps across a 6 core cpu stay this close.

For what its worth I dont get involved in these threads much but this seemed to be a rather light hearted fun place to post a simple high OC on a product that seems to have the least in trems of OCing threads compared to other new products that have come out. It gives some PPL a base idea of what to expect. I say let it be maybe just add the temps as thats no biggie but sure will show if someone is on some form of extreme cooling ect.

As far as stabilty I will be posting seperate threads for that on the boards I will be testing running some benching , posting settings, stabilty ect. and would expect some others to join in as well

Just a mood point so far for intrest, these chips seem to have a wide range of volts needed to run at the same speeds as others unlike the chips of past, so if you need a ton of volts to get to the same as some others here dont be suprised as it is the luck of the draw.

Everyone keep posting have fun and shoot for what your comfort level is not what you want to cook your system at smile.gif

Stability is a different issue then this thread intention. I think both are needed to be educational. This is to see how high one can boot into windows. Not to test stability. That is a different thing altogether and all of us know that stability is a speed which is backed off a bit from the highest clock speed it takes for the CPU to boot into windows at a certain voltage. At least enough to get a CPUz Validation.

My intention is to make this more educational then just to see who can get the highest boot. But as I said before, Maybe thats a different thread for those who can use all 3 choices of cooling.
If this thread is just a competition then I suppose someone who has a grand to throw down on a cooler express will be the ultimate overclocker here.

My point is there is so much more to overclocking then trying to get the highest speed possible with LN2 or DICE or Phase. And it cannot be shared as informatively with other people unless a chip is mapped for its boot ability at different levels of cooling and also for its best stability. Sure you can know something but there sure is no better way to learn then to map a bunch CPUs on different systems completely.

If someones goal is to get the highest score in one of the three areas by cheating their cooling method without disclosing the type of cooling it then I guess that would put a dent in the intended purpose for the change.

But at least people can see the difference cooling and voltage makes if temps are up for being able to boot into windows and validate.

I just think that two threads, one for highest boot(this thread) and one for stability(some other thread)in all three areas may be the best thing. This one being the highest boot thread. But maybe its to complex for a forum.

A Sin0822 Motherboard Review is one of if not the most In depth review on the internet. They would not be nearly as informative if you just showed the board features without saying anything about them.thumb.gif
Doesnt really matter to me. We could just as well make another thread, One for each maybe if not here.
