LET is liquid electrical tape. But for phase I would use di-electric grease, or vaseline, you can buy di-electric grease at an auto parts store, get the one in aerosol can, it freezes at a lower freezing point. I prefer di-electric to vaseline, as that is what di-electric is meant for.

Would you happen to have a pic of someone using LET? I have never used the Cooler Express 24/7 but have tried other chillers 24/7 and never had good results. But I have done it where I just remove it everyday and never needed to use anything but foam. I want to leave it hooked up and use my Z68 as an everyday PC and the X79 for benching. I am interested to know where the LET is being applied.
If not a simple thing I may just get some Dielectric grease. I will find a way to remove cleanly

You buy it from homedepot, it shoudl be in the electrical section. It comes in a small jar, and it has a brush. Brush it on all over, except not in the slots and not on anything that needs electrical contact or open aire for a heatsink. Don't paint over the MOSFETs or the drivers/doubler on the board of the board or top. You can put some tape over those things, like cut really small squares, and paint over them and then take the tape off before the LET dries that is how i do it. its non conductive after you let it dry, and you need a thick enough layer so you can't see through it for it to peel off.

Owners are members who posted a screenshot of ownership, but have yet to submit or validate their OC results. In my case, I've yet to build my 3960X rig, but I own a SB-E. Leaderboard memebers are simply owners who have a valid OC.

@Sin0822
I actually know what it is now that an abbr wasnt used. I just never saw a picture of it on a board.
I dont want to mess up my new board once it gets here. I have messed enough up already having destroyed two of them already. Well, officially I ruined one and the other was just bad. I was wondering if there was a pic of this applied anywhere that you know of?

@Overkill.
Thanks. I got a board coming finally and hopefully one of my New CPUs will do the trick! Going to resume my clocking once it gets here. Hopefully I will pull that 5.5 and 5.6ghz again. Hell I may just get a 3960x because I am a bit tired of thinking on how they may be different. I want to know which is better really.

hmm i thought i took a pic, but you can look in the LN2 section on these forums.

BTW make sure to update to F4D BIOS when you get your board, it is much improved wink.gif BLCK now at stock i can do 106 and with 1.25x multi i can do 105x 1.27 its intense.
BTW more LLC levels as well, so not just 0% and 60% now its in 15% incriments

Finished my X79 build today.

Done a 1 hour prime 95 on this and seems good so far.

4.8ghz @ 1.45v (bios)

Cooled with custom water loop max temp 64c after 1 hour.

For anyone interested, I am selling my brand new (literally in the box unopened) Cooler Express 2011 Phase Change custom build to handle 300w+ head load for a price much lower than I paid for it. I am just going to go with a wc loop as I don't do hardly any benching.
