I was about to do a test to see if in fact Graphics score is higher with the base clock raised. Which I believe it is. I just dont know by how much. I could be wrong though. I just think that was one of the flaws in the Z68 and P67 chipsets. Sure it was opened up more then X58, but now we have the best of both worlds and I believe that some Reviews will be proved very wrong which say that Z68 is just as good for gaming as X79. Even though the reviewers that know better always add a sentence whicih clarifies UNLESS you plan to use SLI and then the X79 is the choice for you.
I am trying to get a stable system together to do this but i seem to have some awful luck so far.

nice clocks there offshell. what are your temps at after 5m+ with prime? are you using vcore offset, or a static number?

I was using a static number. After a bit with prime I'm getting seeing something like this:

Basically I mean was speed stepping on or off? Seems off on my board stock. plus, I am trying to figure out why there is a VTT 2 setting in the bios.
So many settings in this bios. As much as I know Gigabyte boards I am clueless on Asus boards.
I finally found out my SSDs did not die. I dont know whats up with Gigabytes UD5. My SSDs worked in the UD7 flawlessly.
In the R4E they are a bit faster then raid in the gigabyte board. Wonder why though because its both the intel chipset.
This is without write back cache enabled. WIth it enabled the write speeds beat the read speeds by a bit or they are similarly close.

Speedstep is on by default on my R4E abeeftec. Also, VTT is split between 2 rails, that's why there are two settings. The secondary VTT rail applies to anything on the IMC not directly affected by overclocking.

Goodluck my friend, you definitely have more patience than I! smile.gif
