Hail from another UD3 owner biggrin.gifthumb.gif

Talking about ramdisk speed, here's mine:
378

I think i'll upgrade the software to be allowed to use more than 4gb, it's really helping as a swap/working-dev-3d dir.
I wondering if it's worth it to upgrade to 2133mhz, especially when you see the timings of 2133 headscratch.gif

have you overclocked that ram, sir? smile.gif

i just ran a CrystalDiskMark on a ramdrive, and i score significantly lower then you in all but the last test.
got 8x4gb running @ 1600mhz.

373

Could it be the ramdrive software? I'm using ImDisk Virtual Disk Driver

Mine scores lower then both of yours when I do a ram drive. And that is wether I use 2133Mhz memory or 1600Mhz memory.
I just ordered some new Gskill RipjawZ because It may make the difference. I dont know though. It may just be that some CPUs are better then others even in processing ability. I wonder what CPU speed you guys are using and if that even makes a difference. So far Ram hasnt, I am running stock CPU right now.

Is that a Ram water cooler I see on the system? Can you take a picture with the light on or let me know what Block it is so I can go check it out? Just curious about it. on X58 1.65v never seemed to heat ram up but now on X79 it is heating up. Maybe utilizes more and makes it actually run harder?

A little advice. I'm running my x79 at 4.6, but with SpeedStep and C-States on.
It's running allright, but I'm getting different frequency readings from different programs.

Which one should I trust? This is in idle:

Thanks a ton,
