Would like to ask how you organized the fans on your Corsair case with the H100 and what RPM you are running the fans ?

My Corsair H100 is in push and pull configuration. I also have two 120mm intake fans at the bottom and a 120mm exhaust fan at the rear.

The Corsair H100 has three presets to control fan speeds. They are stock Corsair fans, I believe on high it's 2400RPM but don't quote me on that.

Hello,
Count me in ^_^

Here is the Validation

46364554.th.png

It's a C2 stepping i7-3930K, maybe the reason why CPU-Z does not catch it.
It's running a stable 4.3Ghz with no specific change to voltage whatsoever, just Multiplier change.

Hey man, are you sure that's a C2? Stepping 6 in CPU-Z indicates C1, while stepping 7 indicates C2. Also, a C2 chip should read SR0KY on the heatspreader, vs SR0H9 for a C1 3930K.

Sorry but I have to second gplnpsb`s post. I got a C2 stepping and CPU-Z picks it up correct.
But anyway as long as you dont need virtualization you shouldn`t be worried.

Indeed, my mistake... sorry.
I rechecked, it's a SR0H9, so definitely a C1...
Anyway it's no big deal for me, I'll probably do some virtualization, but I can live without VT-d as it can be disabled through BIOS.

So, I've been messing with my 3930k, C1 stepping for you guys to compare to the new allmighty C2 biggrin.gif
Since I live in Brazil, trading it is not really an easy option, so I'll stick with it, since vt-d is useless to me.

To the business in hand, I just went for 4.7ghz 24/7. Offset OC and lower volts. Been playing, browsing... no problems at all until now. Temps are good too. Room temp: 25C

Comments, what do you think of voltage? I may go for 4.8 later on...

1) Under stress:
oc472.jpg

2) A few minutes later, speedstep and voltages down do idle (also a small IBT run):
oc474.jpg

ps. Gaming it stays in the lower 50s celsius range.

Pax,
Alex.

Just ordered myself a SS phase unit from little devil. Also have a mobo waterblock from EK ready to go as soon as I get my pump back from RMA.

Will have to see how far this baby goes with some cold.

Pax,
Alex.
Voltage looks very nice! You might consider pushing it a bit further.
And I rather doubt that C2 is almighty - otherwise my CPU would have spawned me some cash and fly honnies...
