go with a 2133MHz set if now faster they work like a dream i use a 16GB 2133MHz kit from GSkill OCed to about 2300 and it is rock solid stable (shocking for RAM)

Great OCs! Keep it up guys. Glad to have you here with us.

@zdude: your OC validation shows a nice OC at 4.5 GHz, however it isn't registering your voltage. If you can get that fixed and re-submit, I'll add you to the leaderboard. PM me if you have any issues.

@vonalka: your OC validation only show 2.3 GHz. If you are having some issue PM me or post up. Not sure what was going on there.

@Majin SSJ Eric: to keep the Leaderboard pertinent, we try not to post up until we have all the data. Once you have your rig up and running, I'll add you to the Leaderboard. Feel free to use our signature in the meantime. PS, you'll notice I'm not even on the leaderboard yet, so you're in good company -- lol.

On a side note, the top three (T&B, Asmole, and Abeeftec) have been unchallenged for a quite some time now.

Let's shake things up guys.

Who thinks they have what it takes to give them a run for their money?

I was testing some new ram and running at stock to make sure it was stable, I got this result last week:
http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=2239857

I think I will need to upgrade my cooling before pushing it much higher since I run my rig 24/7

Strange thing is that now matter what ram I use or what OC settings I have tried, CPU-Z shows my ram as running at 4200Mhz. Other utilities correctly show it running at 1333 @ 9-9-9-24

Not sure if this is a MB bug, but no one I have talked to has heard of this before.

No problems here. I don't expect to show up as a member until I actually build the machine! Just a few more days of work and I can focus all of my attention this weekend to my X79 build!

Does anyone know if there is a list of what aftermarket CPU Air coolers will fit X79?

I dont have a list but the D14 will fit. Igot the C14 and it also fits.
But this is relative - it all comes down to the RAM!
I got the Ripjaws X and there is not more space than 1 maybe 2 mm. So you could calulate. The clearance of the C14 and the hight of the ripjaws.
This way you could compare with the other coolers.
I would bet my money on the "Kingston hyper X"s -> Very low profile and I guess these would fit wth most of the top notch coolers. (And you need one of them)

And regarding this:

In germany it is not that easy to get LN2, dice or a phase changing unit.
I would love to step in and give them a hard time smile.gif
Besides, if I kill my CPU now I would be lost cause the K`s are always "out of stock". So I treat it like a gem biggrin.gif

After some further tweaking, CPU-Z is now showing my CPU correctly again as a 3960x, however I still can't figure out why my ram keeps showing up as running over 4000Mhz.

My latest validation shows my ram running at 4454Mhz:
http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=2249669

It does seem to scale with my OC settings for some reason

If you purchase a Rampage IV Extreme Motherboard, it has what is called X Socket, which will allow you to use 1366 coolers on the 2011 socket. It's an expensive board, but if you were contemplating purchasing it, it's a good selling point.
