LEADERBOARD UPDATE

CDMAN still holds 1st place with 5.14 GHz

Rhia bumped Hoth17 out of 2nd at 4.99 GHz

KidKB pushed jcde7ago out of 3rd and is trailing close behind second with 4.98 GHz

Announcements

On a side note, I separated"validated" OCs with the "pending" OCs.

This allows me to automatically sort the OC, rather than do it manually. It may be a minor drawback, but it will encourage owners to validate their OC's and it makes sorting OCs manageable.

A few requests were made to include motherboard and voltage Information in the spreadsheet.

A poll has been created to address whether or not it should be done. The poll will be open until Sunday, 11:59 EST. Please voice an opinion; it's your club.

It looks like everyone is uploading their pics to OCN using the RichText Editor rather than linking to an external image source.

Make sense?

So what type of wattage draw are you guys getting with those 4.6Ghz+ OC's ?
Also this may be a dumb question but can the NH-D14 work on and cool those SB-E's well?

I've found it VERY easy to validate a 3930K at 4.8/4.9 Ghz (I just did), but chances are they aren't going to be stable.

So far, my 3930K passed 12hours of Prime blend @ 4.7 Ghz w/ 1.37 vcore w/ 100bclk/47multi.Going to bump the vcore down again later today and test it overnight.

It fails Prime within 15 minutes @ 4.8 Ghz w/ 1.37 vcore w/ 100bclk/48multi. But it will boot and validate (same thing for 4.9 Ghz).

Not going to bother posting pics since i don't mind leaderboard placements so much, but just throwing this info out there....it's not difficult to get on the board and validate with these SB-Es, but getting them stable is whole 'nother story. thumb.gif

This is definitely true. I haven't had any luck stability wise @ 4.9ghz as of yet. So far I had luck around 4.7ghz with 1.34 vCore 24hrs on Prime95, but I haven't had much time to mess with it anymore.

Anyhow, my wife and I are off to Florida so I'll be back next week- good luck guys looking forward to more results!

thats still good lads, 1.4v was the average people needed to get 4.8 stable on 2600ks, here we have another 2 cores and still more or less same V needed

That's a really good point. Perhaps a screenshot of both the validation and a stress test would level the field. But then again, it's not supposed to be a cut throat competition; more of a place for owners to get the best out of their OC's by getting some help by their peers. If people want to take the OC leaderboard seriosuly, more power to them, as I'll continue to update it.

Remember, this thread (like the OCN community) is a resource, so there is no point in posting unstable OCs.

LEADERBOARD UPDATE

Fliq has taken 1st place with a 5199.71 MHz Overclock!!

This has bumped CDMAN and Rhia into second and third place, respectively, while knocking KidKB out of the top three.

The gap is closing!

Who will break the 5.2 GHz threshold with a stable OC???
