Upgrade to Current Rig

Thread Starter
Hey guys, I am considering upgrading my current rig with a new motherboard, CPU, memory. I already have many of the components which I will mention below. I am in need of recommendations of what I should buy but I have some things in mind.

Note that I will find the best price possible

Mobo: MSI P67A-GD65
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130574
This is the one thing I really need advice on. If there are any better alternatives, I would gladly consider them. Should I get a mobo with 1333 or 1066 RAM slots? What is the best option?

CPU: Intel i5 2500k
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115072
Found this to be a great CPU for my price range. I am also going to stick with the stock cooler for now.

Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws 8GB 1066 RAM
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231308
This is the memory that looked most appealing to me. Should I go for 8 gigs? Again, 1066 or 1333?

Already have the following:
GPU: XFX 6950 2GB
Monitor, Case, PSU, HD, and disc drive.

I am looking for recommendations or alternatives to the things I have chosen for my new rig. Thanks for the input.

Good board, good CPU, and since you have everything else already I think you're good to go.

Is there any reason to wait until the first quarter of next year to build a new system?

I know you're gonna use the stock coole... but maybe think of an aftermarket heatsink for the 2500k (for the future?).
Cause that's a good board, and it can definitely do some serious overclocking.
Just a thought.

Yea agreed with that besides 2500k's meant to be OC'd. Anyways, Take a look at this board

Alot less but not worse, better reviews (not that newegg ones mean alot, can't wait for OCN's to become the #1 stop for reviews!)

I was actually doing some more research and I'm really liking that AsRock board you guys recommended. What heatsink would you guys recommend for the 2500k? Something reasonably priced and a great product.
