I've had the 920 for about a solid 2 years now, and for some reason I'm really getting an itch to upgrade. Thing is do I really need an upgrade? I think yes because I mean it's been 2 years and I've upgraded almost everything else in my rig. I was thinking of going with a 2500k and overclocking it to 4.8 or something. Worth it?

I wouldn't say it is worth it. Wait for another generation of chips. If you're really itching to spend some money, pick up an SSD.

Yea I already saved around $800 for new video cards, I got about $200 left over though. How much of a dramatic effect would going from my current rig to a 2500k have in gaming performance?

Upgrade those Gpu's buddy and you will feel so much better! I wouldn't drop and i7 to get an i5 even if it is one generation ahead. I would keep the 920 until Ivy is out and has been tested because that will be the next big step. There is the new sandy-e series which is awesome but not worth a $600 plunge. Good luck

With those GPUs, not much. With current gen GPUs, only slightly. I mean, it would improve but the 920 doesn't suffer (as far as I know) in any games at the moment so the advantage wouldn't really manifest itself.

SSD's are nice, but I feel they're the last thing you need to upgrade... Faster loading times are always welcome, back a better IG experience is the most important thing.
