Hi! Everyone. I am a noob in music industry but I usually hear music to make my life becomes more beautiful and relax myself after hard working.

I know that one of the best ways is buying a good soundcard + headphone but I do not have a PC so I can not buy a soundcard. My laptop is Toshiba Satellite M300 and I do not know if my integrated chipset sound/onboard soundcard is good enough to let me enjoy a good headphone such as Sennheiser HD series or not. That is why I make this topic and seek for your help, please!

I check my laptop's device manager and the sound device is Conexand High Definition SmartAudio 221. Is this good or bad?

Thanks for reading this thread smile.gif.

just get any headphones you want and get an external headphone AMP (such as the Fiio e5) its small and cheap (20$) it provides up to 300 ohms

or get an external USB sound card

Oh thanks, Crag. What about Fiio type you recommend to me. I search on the internet and get many positive reviews of Fiio. However I want to buy a Sennheiser HD 555 and it will be better if you could recommend a good Fiio model to me.

Good candidates are Fiio 5, 6 and 7, aren't they? Which one should I choose, 7 is better than 5 or 6, right?

Welcome any advice! Thanks!

Hi, guys! It's me again.

After digging almost a day for researching on the internet. I found out that there is a nice combo for me. It is Fiio E10 and Sennheiser Audiophile series. I choose HD555 because it is not very cheap or very expensive. Besides, if I feel boring, I can mod HD555 to improve the sound quality biggrin.gif.

My budget is about 250$. It may be less or more. I welcome any other suggestions biggrin.gif.
