Just a quick question... any of you had problems with the CPU LED showing the temp? I cant seem to make it work mad.gif

Only 1.4x or higher UEFI supports that.

I wonder if the problem is the memory voltage? When I use F-stream it says that DRAM voltage is 1.65V, the Ram voltage for 9-9-9-24 must be 1.5 volt. 1.65 is for XMP.

I ran Memtest86+ for four hours and shown no errors. I tried to format multiple hdd's the same, OS lockups both Win 7 and Win XP during the procedure. I tried to my previous mobo with success, so is motherboard issues. I wonder if it's chipset's problem. I think I will RMA it and replace it with GA-990FX-UD7. Too bad, I will never buy an Asrock product again.

You should write down Your specs.

The MBO is fine. You just did not setup it right...

I would understand if You have OCZ/Mushkin RAM, because they work not as good on AMD chips,
and Mushkin is a headache for ASRock MBO's.

What I didn't setup right? The same hardware installed on GA-890FXA-UD5 before two weeks worked like a charm with no issues about a year. With Asrock 990FX Pro, sudden OS lockups in Windows 7x64 Ultimate, I cannot format HDD's with Windows XP and Windows 7 even in pure OS environment like DBAN, dfsee and Killdisk bootable CDrom. I tried many times, Acronis, WDC Lifeguard Diagnostics Tools and Windows format and on both OS system lockups when I try to format several HDD's. I checked again with Gigabyte motherboard and no issues. I believe that this board has a problem.

These are my DDR's, http://www.valueram.com/datasheets/KHX1600C9D3K2_8GX.pdf total quantity four dimms of 4 gb each. Which voltage and which timings should I use?

I forgot to mention that I tested all official and unofficial UEFI bios versions.

I tested with other memory, one 1 GB module and one 2 GB module, same issues. I think that something wrong with the SATA controller.

My full specifications are the following :

Asrock 990FX PRofessional
Phenom II 1090T
16 GB Kingston Hyper X PC12800
Sapphire 6870 x2
Corsair 950TX PSU

Western Digital Green 500 GB

LLC Update 1:
I tried LLC set to Disabled, Windows won't boot at 4.6 GHz @ 1.45 V. At 25% it boots, but black-screens 5 seconds into Prime95. At 75% or 100% LLC, doesn't crash in Prime95 or IBT, but crashes half way through 3DMark11 Physics test. at 50%, works perfectly fine :/

@ Black Flag - Try just with one HDD, could be that some of them cause the error.

@ Marlboro Lights - Set the LCC to Auto or 50%. My B55 hits 4GHz 1.35V LCC Auto - no problem at all.
Try to disable Cool And Quite and Virtualization, may help to. PS - My CPU is "one of the kind", but i have pushed it with 1.85V with my MSI MBO,
so now its not that stable as before, i keep it at 1.4V just to be safe.

@ Axipher - The same works for me too.

I used and some other DDR3's (ADATA 1333 1GB and 2GB, Kingston 1333 2GB) and the board is defected, I'm 100% sure right now! It's weird that my DDR's rated at 1,65V for 1600 and at 1.50V for 1333 needed to stabilize for a while the system to reduce their voltage at 1,25Volt! I didn't have lockups for a while, but soon appeared again, after a couple of hours. Also I cannot format any drive, either when only one drive connected to motherboard, even in pure DOS mode. That's why I believe the board has problem and is faulty. Also my DDR's are rate at 1.50volt for 1333 MHz but when setting voltage to auto it stays stack to 1,65 Volt!

Yes It was a faulty motherboard, replaced it today with Crosshair V Formula an worked like a charm. No HDD's error's, no memory timing errors, correct voltage to all components and no lockups. Too bad for Asrock, this the second time after 1999 when I experienced a faulty motherboard again. I will send the Fatality for RMA and I will sell the replacement.
