you better check that TFIII out then.. they run cooler than a polar bears toenails.

 Load temps in Kombustor run after 27min, are only 64c at 1015mhz core on stock cooler... VERY acceptable temps for daily use/clocks/voltage.

hate to necro a thread, but you have to add a line in to the afterburner.cfg in the unofficialoverclockingEULA= part saying you acknowledge blah blah to get the increased voltage/core clock.

Has anyone figured out a way to get voltage control on the Sapphire 6950? I have a pair in crossfire that are unlocked and have been able to overclock them to 920, but I think need more voltage if I want to go higher. These cards rip btw.

Wondering the same... I'm about to CF two of them once I find a second card on the secondhand market for the right price but my first card only does 900-1375 with max voltage. 910 core or 1400 vram pretty much instantly crashes the drivers when I play BF3 which is pretty much the only modern game I play now haha.

And the EULA thing, tried that months ago and now again and it does unlock core and vram freqs but still no voltage adjustment. For now only TriXX can change the voltage.

I already have crossfire running at the moment smile.gif Found a second card, 2 months old, used only a couple of days, box and everything still there for €190 so... Couldn't resist smile.gif

TriXX has to fix a lot more now that I run CF. For instance the manual fan speed setting refuses to work with 2 cards. If ya set it to Sync GPU's it just applies card 1. When you force apply card 2, card 1 goes back to auto mode... Fixed mode however works fine with 2 cards so now I run both of them @ 60% 24/7 even tho that's noisy... BF3/MW3 gets them up to about 80c with auto fanspeeds and I don't like those temps so now I got them @ 60% locked which gives about 60c load.

YOu have to unlock voltage control in settings, assuming you are using afterburner. Click settings, then check unlock voltage monitoring and voltage control thumb.gif

I know that, heck I even asked Unwinder, the dev for MSI AB personally on guru3d, and he said that the Sapphire Custom PCB cards will NOT be supported by MSI AB's voltage control.
We are stuck with TriXX. And Sapphire STILL won't respond to my customer service tickets asking about future updates for TriXX and more voltage / fixed fan control.

ASUS's tool, Not SmartDoctor but ASUS GPUTweak, fully supports the Sapphire HD6950's INCLUDING voltage control, but ALSO limited to 1180mv max. Fanspeed control is a lot better under GPUTweak cause at least those manual settings work. Problem is that it can only adjust in steps, not in a fluent line. So much use it doesn\t have...
