even though we are feeling insecure with our 920s there is no real reason to upgrade, in reality its still a beast of a chip..920>i5 2500k

Really? for the longest time I had looked at that board, and wondered if i should take a chance, But yea the fact that it was so cheap kinda scared me a bit. But Tomshardware picked it as a recommended buy for x58 platforms. So That has been an interest for me. To be honest, i dont need usb 3.0 nor do i need SATA3 so really thats a useless feature for me personally.

Thanks for the recomendation for that board, i really like the fact that the board has preset overclock setting i think it says 3.6, 3.7, 3.8 and somehting else. Which would help me a lot since i havent overclocked before. Although if i had to, Ive read quite a bit about how to OC so im sure i could handle it.

Its cool yo, usually you will see a modest improvement of FPS. On mine I see about 30-40% increase in FPS from stock to 3.6ghz - 3.8ghz. Im not aware of any inherent problems with the Sabertooth tho.

To be honest with you, I didn't find much difference going from q9650 @ 3.5GHz to an i7 2600k @ 4.1GHz, maybe look at Sandy Bridge-E s2011 CPU's and wait until they get down in price, anyway I wouldn't bother upgrading from an i7 920, at least not at this moment.

Oh by no means have i heard anything bad about the board either. And if you truly get a 30-40% increase in FPS while gaming at 3.6ghz or more, thats pretty substantial!
