2.1 Speakers for about $100?

Thread Starter
My current speakers are getting old, and don't sound the best. I think its time for a new pair of speakers. My uses will be mostly Music, it is about 90% of what i listen to. My Maximum budget is $150, but the closer to $100, the better. I obviously don't need surround sound, and a subwoofer is a necessity. Ive done some research, and people have mostly recommended the Logitech Z-2300. Those speakers, however, don't seem to be made anymore, so what speakers does OCN recommend?

Thanks.

I have a set of Corsair SP2200s. They're decent 2.1 speakers but I got them on sale for only $40.

M-Audio A-30 are around $90 and they are pretty good for the price. If you want something better the A-40 are around $120

I would also vote for the Swan M10. For a budget of $100, there is no way you can be disappointed and say "Hmmm Maybe I could have gotten much more with my $100!" unless you find a good deal on something used.

Klipsch Promedia 2.1 if you want a sub and need the bass. Swans M10 if you want a bit more clarity from the speakers and really don't need bass. The swan M10 comes with a mid-woofer that sits on your desktop, so you get a little punch of bass. I have the Promedias since I listen to a lot of Hip-Hop, I'm very happy with their performance.
