HeyoO Overclock.net (^_^)
Hehe this is my first Post here biggrin.gif

I will be buying a new Custom Personal Computer soon.
Was thinking to buy a HDD which will not just crash and vanish one day suddenly XD

Currently i am using a Seagate's HDD which i bought 8 years ago and its still working fine.
But its capacity is really low (You will laugh if i tell you hehe)

So, can you suggest me if i again go with Seagate or turn to some other company like Western digitals (o.O) ?

For me reliability comes first ,,, speed and other stuff second preference (^.^)

Thanks for reading smile.gif

Western digital is very reliable.
My current western digital drive has lasted about 2 years so far, the one i had before that lasted about 5-6 years and i believe it would still be working if i moved it over to my current rig.

Doesn't matter. There are only 4 (soon to be 2) desktop HDD anufacturer left..... Western Digital, Seagate, Hitachi, and Samsung.

All of them have about the same reliability. Besides, with the HDD shortage due to the Thailand floods.... take what you can get.
Once again...

Here's some links to a 1TB model and a 750GB model. Both have 64mb cache. Just used a UK website, not sure which websites you uses in india.
