I am reminded of the difference between first and second gen i7's. It's just astonishing in such a short time we can have so much better overall performance with massive OC's and still not heat up like the old chips did. Not even close

Well as long as next gen consoles have similar specs to my sigrig (+ a decent GPU) I don't care unless it overheats really easily wheee.gif

PC will still be my primary gaming platform when the new consoles come out. Other than that the PS4 will be my choice of console.

Soo if the Dev Kits are being handed out come Christmas, that would give them less than 12 months to produce games for new hardware, really? I really hope for MS's sake that they don't rush out a crap untested design to get one over Sony like they did this gen. I don't think the Xbox 3 and PS4 will hit stores till Q1 2013 (at the earliest), then give them 6-8 months for the good games to start rolling out thumb.gif.

Sigh. Those are not devs kits. Again use Google.

Because the G5 systems can only use a GeForce 6800 Ultra or an ATI Radeon X800 XT, developers had to significantly reduce the image quality of their demos - which explains their lack luster appearance.

Please read your own source and use correct information when trying to prove a point. It even alludes to them not being dev kits.

Devs usually start making games before the Dev kits are given out. They use reference machines where they build a PC with the supposed specs, program for that and then when the hardware is finalized by the Console makers, they then move it over toward the console.
