I'm all for Android and I love my Galaxy S2, but the apps in the market are really horrible and all the 3rd party apps are glitchy since they have to accomodate multiple platforms. So until they fix the apps/market and "close down" the OS a bit, I'll be holding on to my 4S. :S

I mean, it's great to have top-notch powerful hardware, but let's face it. The software(as in Apps) is more important.

My 2cents.

So there is no way they didn't get past months ago.

Apple -> Single company
Android -> OS made by Google, phones made by multiple companies

Point? Just seems like Apple is unable or does not want other developers touching their OS. Their loss really. Here, Android developers are able to provide phones for everyone's needs.

Apple has nothing to worry about at the end of the day I think. There will always be people who prefer to use iOS Apple devices and pay through the nose for expensive phones and contracts. Android and WP7 are good alternatives for those who don't and like a bit more flexibility and money in their pocket.

Nothing to stop them licensing phones to be made under their strict conditions, other than their obvious greed.

And that is why you fail... Apple doesn't license their OS because they tried it once before. The computers that were made were called clones and they sucked monkey balls. Apple products are a work of art and designed to do specific things well. If you like to hack and run various things on your phone iPhone is not for you. If you want a stable device that does what is says then get an iPhone.
I have had a few Android devices including the Asus Transformer and Galaxy S Phone. Both sucked and the experience was horrible, if i CAN NOT INSTALL AN APP AFTER RELOADING THE OS OF A DEVICE NOT ONCE, BUT TWICE, THEN SCREW OFF! Even Windows isn't that bad...

Nice dig at the start there, nice and mature. Because something hasn't worked before doesn't mean it'll never work. Yes if Apple hold on to sole manufacture of their devices they can guarantee quality. Licensing out production would cut their profits because other manufacturers could sell their products at a snip of what Apple does which was the point I was trying to make. If you really want to run iOS/OS X you can anyway without buying Apple products....

My HTC is stable and never crashed. My old SE C902 and Satio on the other hand weren't the most reliable. My C902 crashed like 10-11 times in a row once. Nobody I know that has Android devices have had the problems you say you've had. My bro has the Galaxy S and I've never heard him whine about it. Just bad luck I guess.

A: Just because people made crap "clones" of a mac, doesn't mean Android sucks.

B: I really hope your not referring to boring and mundane tiles on a screen a work of art.

C: What has Android "said" it was going to do and not delivered?

D: If an app would not install on your hardware there's only two reasons why. 1 - It was an app made for a lower OS version. 2 - It was an app made for a higher OS version. All the good apps that are worth a damn work with both so stop downloading crap apps.
