Update Nov 28, 2011

Hey guys! looks like i got my motherboard ahead of schedule smile.gif just came in the mail today, also pulled the samsung f4's out of storage and their ready to go tongue.gif But this motherboard is tiny! :O its like 50% bigger then a hard drive never thought it was this small.

I went to tap-plasitcs to get some supplies and look at some the acrylic, they gave me a few pieces for free so i can get an idea and mess around with them but they were cut with a table saw and not the laser biggrin.gif

When we where at Taps i was hoping to be able to get away with 1/8inch thick acrylic but after looking at it, looks like it will flex to much to make it travel worthy so going to be sticking with the 1/4 inch pieces

Anyways here some quick pics, hope to get my GF's camera to take better ones sometime

Really cool, I like it!

But I don't suppose you thought of a gaming laptop instead? It would be a lot more sleeker, run a lot cooler, and have it's own screen. I think that's really what you need.

This System looks like it's going to be close to the $1k mark and that's a pretty decent laptop with say a gtx570m perhaps?

Problem with this system is the waterblock you use for the GTX460 won't be able to transfer to that eventual GTX690 upgrade.

I don't know, it's kind of cool, but compared to a gaming laptop, not as portable, a lot heavier, and not as convenient.

Small update: Goiing to be changing out the cx430 with a corsair AX750, i think it should be enough for future double gpu cards (590, 6990 etc) also because its pretty cheap right now biggrin.gif

Thanks for the input biggrin.gif i actually got 2 laptops already, a macbook air and a sony vaio which i use to game. I was going to be traveling with that as well, but was looking for something a bit more powerful for a bit of CAD and games smile.gif so far im guestimating that its going to be around $6-800 since i have a few parts from my HTPC that im reusing

Its also a lot more expandable, a lot cooler (gaming laptops run hot), can house 3 3.5hdds, has room for future upgrades, Is more powerful gtx 460 > 6970m and generally more awesome tongue.gif For somepeople a gaming laptop would be better but wheres the fun in that.
