Though, for me I am not sure of which I would like the coating of the Sensei, since I REALLY love on the Xai

I ordered both and just got them in. The sensei grip on the top is nice. I definitely can see it getting dirty though. It has plenty of grip. Although Im having some issues with the damn mouse. Whenever I boot up the software, it says plug in a steelseries engine device. Nothing will get it to recognize Im using the mouse.

Then the LCD on the bottom is constantly saying Upgrading v1.10. Whenever I left click to highlight some text the mouse cursor stands still, but I can still drag and highlight text. Its just hard to see what I am doing. Overall, its ok to me. I guess I WANT to like it much more than I do. Its a very elegant looking mouse but it seems more based for gamers who go to LANs and such. Im loving the Spawn ALOT more so far in just comfort.

I've had the g9x, have the naga, spawn, and am currently using the sensei. If you're used to 1600 dpi, then I've covered all the issues with both mouses you're thinking of getting.

I think your reading what Im saying wrong and vice versa. Anyway, thanks for the help with everything. G9x is nice but the Spawn feels a little better in my hand. I actually think its perfect for fingertip except the front left button is a tad rough to hit with that grip. The sensei is nice feeling but...well look above.

Yeah most of us really love the shape of the spawn. But anyone who plays pvp, especially with raw input in source, would have trouble with it at low dpi regular sensitivity. I also really love the side buttons and weight. What a shame.

Im liking the shape alot. My G9x is comfortable but this is even more so. The sensei isn't for me. I was curious about ambidextrous since its been so long, but within 2 hours, I had my answer.

As far as the Spawn, Im not really into professional FPS or what not. Pretty simple, just games like Skyrim, and anything pvp would be a diablo style PVP or Battlefield 3. Thats it.

Thats why we launched the Xornet. To provide a cheap solution for lower DPI. The spawns sensor, although "Better" was never designed to work on anything lower than 1800DPI. We are not giving up, and continuing to tweak this sensor as we feel its still the best optical solution on the market.

Carter if your team can, would you mind testing the default prediction firmware (v66?) in house? I've been wondering if it offers higher max tracking rates.

So the Xornet is actually a better product than the Spawn?

Only advantage of the Spawn is the DPI button remapping?

Depends how you determine "better".

In terms of current max IPS performance, yes. In terms of overall sensor capability and image processing, no.

Xornet's 3050 takes 19x19 pictures @ 6666 Frames Per Sec. Translates to 2.4 megapixels/s.
Spawn's 3090 takes 30x30 pictures @ 6469 Frames Per Sec. Translates to 5.8 megapixels/s.

Although a lot of people loved the STMicroeleronics OS MLT 04 and that only pulled 2.9 (6000 FPS) and 4.35 (9000 FPS) megapixels/s.

I dont really understand all the terms and such. I read several of mouse reviews on this site, and you all bring 'in depth' a whole new meaning.

What would the Xornet do for me? I like the 800 DPI step until the massive acceleration problems (negative right?) hit at I don't have to move my hand fast at all to notice it. The 2nd step is a little out of my range for regular gaming as well. Would buying a Xornet be a good idea? I think the shape is...well its ridiculously perfect. I can achieve an extremely comfortable claw to finger movement I tend to do.

The sensei on the other hand...its just ok. $90 for just ok....

IPS= Inches per sec= max tracking speed. tongue.gif The 3090 has better paper specs and or potential, but as for higher tracking rates, the Xornet is likely to perform better at this current time.

If you would like to wait a week or two, I'll have a Xornet here to review so the community can get a better understanding of the mouse as a whole.

Looking forward to it. Both of these aren't going to make the cut. I would be very interested in seeing if the Xornet does.

Thanks!
