Am I at the safe voltage limit with 1.568 under load? - Page 3

If your using good cooling an aren't plaining on keeping that cpu for 15 years your fine. I ran my 1090T@ 4.375ghz 250x17.5 an 1.59v under load for a long time with no problem. What does the cpu voltage drop to under load?

I've got a full water loop with an xspc raystorm block and a black ice gtx 240 rad. temps only hit 40c when I'm prime testing at 4.2 ghz or higher. If I'm any lower than they're arous 35c. And those are core temps btw. Maybe I have found the wall.

Well, for anyone still looking at this thread i just don't think this chip was meant for 4.2ghz. So i just ended up cranking the cpunb up to 3000mhz and the ht link up to 3000mhz and got it stable with that at 4.0ghz and 1.375 vcore. Thanks all you guys, i really appreciate it. i guess it just wasnt meant to be. rolleyes.gif

That's still a great result though.

Part of the fun of overclocking is locking down that extra little increase. Give it a break and come back to it when you have more time. Adjust voltages one at a time and see what changes it makes.

HT Link is meant to be kept at stock frequency at all times. Raising it has been known to cause instability and lower performance.
I recommend you to run a few benchmarks and compare the results of 2000MHz vs 3000MHz. I find it strange that you're even able to boot with those settings.
