Avatars auto scaling to 120x120

Is this intended? I can't have my little fox GIFs anymore without looking blurry because it auto scales frown.gif

My gif is actually much lower quality than it was on the last site. I hope they will make adjustments to this compression feature. I mean, I can deal with it, but I don't care for it.

edit: Hey you're right, mine is stretched! >_<

Yep, it got auto scaled to 120x120 frown.gif

I had to fix mine and make it 120x120 so it didn't look at stretched. >_<

One other thing I don't like: The avatar is HUGE in our profile.. what's the point? It makes it look all.. weird. It should be the same size in our profile as it is on the forum... not 300x300, or whatever it is.

I'd go ahead and fix mine but I don't know how I'd add a gif to a 120x120 transparent background frown.gif

I noticed this as well. Can we get some clarification?

You know. Normally i would have reported your avatar as being inappropriate after the few debacles of some of my previous avatars being lumped into the inappropriate category. But I just can't find myself to care anymore. I mean c'mon. Who complains about seeing Kari Byron in sexy clothes? Anyway, I hope you get to keep yours.

As it stands you have to pick between a blurry profile pic and a blurry avatar. When I first noticed my profile pic was blurry I went back and threw together a bigger version of my avatar then I noticed my avatar looked strange. They should both be the same size OR completely separate images and auto scaling should be an option.

What the hell happened? Last night my avatar looked fine in my profile, and fine on my posts. It wasn't stretched or pixellated on either place. Now it looks okay on my profile and it's horrible and stretched on my posts. I guess I'll have to find a new avatar for the time being then.
