New build. The Pandanator (Modding In Progress!) - Page 3

So, My Corsair Hydro H80 CPU Cooler came in, and I've ordered the rest of the parts (mobo, cpu, fan controller, and 2 fans) now, I only bought 2 fans because the H80 came with two fans that will be enough for my case. I also have a question, if I build a new computer.. do I have to reformat my HDD?

Well before I show the pictures, I had to do some modding to the case to get that damn H80 in there...but sad part is that I can't install the 2nd 120mm fan in without putting pressure on top of the heatsink itself and the cpu, and I was afraid that would damage it so I just turned it into an H60 and use the 2nd fan at the bottom to blow up all hot air up.

Here's the mobo in:

Here's pretty much the end result.. yeah I know, very very very VERY bad cable management. I'm working on it. Hopefully I can get a better case and perfect the cable management there... But yeah biggrin.gif:

UPDATE

Recently put it in my new 500R Carbide..I wanted black but they only had white, so I took it. First try at wire management and I'm kind of happy smile.gif
Some new things I plan on adding and doing...

1. I might try to paint it (iffy on it)
2. Get a bigger HDD or maybe an SSD..
3. Trying to get a new headset SteelSeries Siberia V2 White and a new keyboard Razer Blackwidow..also getting into beat production so watch out for that! Also I've been making skyrim videos, and this thing renders like a beast...Wow I'm happy! Heres some pictures!

Aside from some cable management it looks pretty decent. How's the H80 working for you? Temps? I've been thinking about getting one but haven't done enough research on it yet.

Sorry for the late reply, but yeah my first time trying cable management! Thanks also! and yes the H80 is well worth it. I run easy 20C on idle, no more then 35 during hardcore gaming. Also if you live in an area more north then others, during the winter when it gets cold in the room, easily drops to 9-10C idle which happened to me and I only live in Philadelphia! I also got the H80 for only $75 because of a blackfriday sale tongue.gif goodluck to you I hope this was helpful!

Awesome, thanks for the info. I have an i7 920 (runs very hot, 40c idle) so I have been looking at the H80 or the H100. And nice steal on the black friday deal lol.

If you can fit the H100 I suggest you get it, 4 good 120mm fans, very good cooling. You should see good drops in temp!

Alright, after months of using the computer, it dies. I turn my computer off at night, I woke up in the middle of the night 2 days ago my computer completely on, I thought my mom or dad turned it on, turns out they didn't, so I was oh alright. I get off of work that day and try to turn on my computer, it turns on and crashes in 3 seconds literally. I even counted. So I was baffled...I troubleshoot, turn off the psu, turn it back on, and turn the computer on, crashes. So my cousin was with me and he said maybe you have to reset the bios, so we take out the battery on the motherboard for minutes, then put it back in, try to run it, and it turns off again. So then he leaves because he had to go so I try troubleshooting, he said maybe it was the psu (before he left) so I check, I plug the motherboard power cord from my brothers psu into mines and it ran no crashes, so I assumed it was the psu so I take out the psu. I bring it down to my store where I'm ready to ship it back for warranty but I wanted to test something out once more, so I plugged my psu into another computer, and it booted up no crashes so now, I'm baffled at what is wrong. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Did you put the " Broken " PSU back into your rig and see if it works again, you said you tried another PSU and it worked. Then you put your old PSU in another system and it worked,, so try it again in your system and see what happens.. Could have been a glitch..
