Not to mention the start menu is up on the BD screenshot, which will can put the game at lower priority and drop GPU utilization.

Your single core CPU usage is hitting >90% with a single 570....
Im running a FX-4100 @ 4.7 with a GTX 470 @ 900(short run to be comparable with 570 @ 800) , Gpu usage is consistently 90-100%. Though I do like eye candy turned on (4x-8x AA and TRAA). Normally I game with v-sync on though, because screen tearing is annoying. Cant do any tests longer than 5-10 minutes, need better vga cooling to run 900+ reliably.

You can now set max fps in game. No need for vsync. Console command “GameTime.MaxVariableFps” thumb.gif

Ok, didnt see if that SS was from OP's computer or not. With the MaxFPS variable set to my refresh I still get occasional tearing. sadsmiley.gif

THERE IS NO cpu bottleneck on my system (the 1100 one pictured), the bottleneck is GPU! Im sorry but it seems like you lack common sense, if i sli there most likey STILL WOULD NOT be a bottleneck on bf3, bf3 uses every core, I still have 5 others not near max. FIRST of all the core 0 max is 80-85% and besides bf3 uses EVERY core so there is so much more on tap for another gpu.

Look at this for more information on amd sli, only cpu bottlenecks occure on tri sli

Yeah I've seen it, it's at a resolution far beyond 1080p and doesn't even compare it to anything else but higher clocks on the 1100t.

Your usage is up and down, at times you're gpu limited, at others you're clearly cpu limited.

Are you looking at the picture he linked? It's quite obvious the CPU is hitting 100% and the usage is dropping like a rock. That's the definition of a CPU bottleneck.

AMD processors are insufficient for SLi.

I believe he was referring to the middle SS, Which sows the CPU cores are around 70-80%. Though there are hitches in GPU usage, which could be from moving around in game... like a bottleneck from platter HDD's. It kinda looks like page file access as the player moves through a map, need to see a comparison of HDD vs SSD tho.

So magically the GPU usage drops coincide with the CPU usage going to 100%? Not spiking either, it's already loaded and the usage is consistently high.

Haha glad you figured it out.

AMD processors are insufficient for SLi.

Referring to that statement, the person was referring to the MIDDLE SS labeled "Single on Thuban".

Please read before you respond.

The FX-4100 on the bottom is cpu limited by a bit in some places. Is he still getting benefit from SLI, yes. Would his rig perform better with a FX-8120 or Thuban X6? Yes.

In that case that's with a single card, in which case the usage of the first core hits 90%.
