What to buy? (Looking for netbook or subnotebook)

Hello! I am looking for a SMALL laptop to use at school, as a supplement to my desktop and 15" laptop.. I had a EEE 901 and loved the form factor, but the single core atom was a bit too slow for me. (So I sold it.)

Now that I sold the EEE 901 I want another netbook or subnotebook. My requirements:

Matte screen (VERY important)
Decent (3+ hour) battery life
Small size (12" or less)
Dual core CPU
Dedicated graphics. (I want it to be able to play youtube decently, and HD content- the eee 901 couldn't) (As far as HD content my roomate and I have a HTPC with a dual core atom and an ION, and it plays 1080p just fine)
1 GB + of RAM
Price: Cheap! I am replacing an eee 901 after all.. I am probably going to buy it used.

I looked at the Asus 1015PN but I heard that the ION in it isn't great and is half the speed of the ion in the 12" versions. Is this true?
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220851

I dont care about brand, looks, HD size, etc. I dont even care about the OS (I can install windows XP or windows 7 on it legally though my school)

Thanks!

the Acer aspire S3 has a 2/4 core i5 and is only 3lbs 13.3in screen. or there used to be that 6.8ghz ACQP single qubit quantum laptop with 2TB of ram. I think the Acer would be easier to get.

It nearly fits my size requirements, close enough that I would be ok with it, but it doesn't at all fit my wallet. wink.gif (I am a college student..)

For getting a Netbook make sure you get one at least with the following features.

-- Dual core Atom N570 or any AMD equivalent.
-- 2GB DDR3 RAM
-- 320GB HDD or more
-- 10.1 or 12.1 inch screen or anything in the middle.
-- 6 Cell or 9 Cell battery whichever available.
-- A mouse for prolonged use.

OP what's the price limit?

Here's my non netbook based recommendation:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834215167 (Sadly it's no longer stocked but you might be able to find one still or similar)

If you're getting a netbook right away then it's this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834215172

If you can wait I recommend doing that as the new Atom (Bluray capable ones) netbooks will be coming out either next month or before February. The N2800 looks nice as it can match the CPU abilities of the current best Desktop Atom CPU and yet has a IGP capable of Bluray HD built in for a nice 6 watt TDP.

Price limit: If it is a true netbook with a 1024x600 screen, $340 ish. If it has a 12" or larger screen with at least 768 vertical pixels my limit is closer to $500 (basically, if I can sell my other laptop and just use a desktop and it, I can spend more on it)

Thanks!
