Theres a couple of texture packs that do that already ( i have one but i forget which one , sorry ) . But the only problem is they dont disappear like you stated after a few seconds.

I get the same thing. not sure what causes it and it hasn't bothered me enough to try and fix it tbh. But if anyone does have a fix it would be nice. At the moment I'm using

This happened to me too. I'm not altogether sure what caused it, or why, but it went away when I reverted to the original Skyrim.ini (not the SkyrimPrefs.ini) in my Documents folder. I wasn't actually trying to fix it—I was just playing around with the uGridsToLoad tweak—but if I remember right, the red tint went away when I went back to the original copy. Haven't seen it since. I'm using all of the above mods except the blood textures and the steel shield, plus uGridsToLoad=9 and a bunch of other .ini tweaks.

EDIT: Confirmed fix, from the Bethsoft forums.

I use the FxAA injector mod and i didnt notice a single difference in performance. The trick to it is to customize it to your likeings. I have mine to be faithfull to the original but with a little more color and dynamic range in the contrast and also a smidgen of sharpening to eliminate the fxaa softness. If anything it actually increased my performance thumb.gif

Someone really needs to gather these into an "overhaul" mod or something, lol. Good work though. I've been toying with mods a bit. In my opinion the absolute ESSENTIAL are FXAA Post Process Injector, choose option 2 when installing to up the colour saturation and remove the washed out look. And no more blocky faces.
