Completely wrong... no offense, most Rainbow Six games are very realistic.
(If you care, i'll go into more detail below)
They are wearing full body armor. You can watch real SWAT footage online if you can stomach the reality/violence of it. Most SWAT members know what it's like to be shot with full body armor, it's like a hammer to the chest. If the suit does it job, and you are trained, most weapons will only make them stumble for a few seconds.
Of course taking 3-4 rounds of a automatic weapon to the chest will bring them down, but most of the time it will just knock them out with some broken bones. Unless the terrorists are using special guns/bullets that penetrate body armor, the suit has a weak spot, or it's a shotgun/high calibur weapon, they will be fine and keep moving. They are trained to withstand pain, and the suit asborbs 99% of the damage.
There are videos online of bank robbers in full body armor (not even professionals) taking dozens and dozens of bullets all over their body and still walking around. This is mainly because cops do not have weapons that can even touch these suits. Pistols do absolutely nothing against them, and in these situation SWAT members are almost always called in to deal with them with armor penetrating bullets.Edited by Murlocke - 11/29/11 at 5:38pm
