The site is relatively new, with all the associated growing pangs, so please bear with it.
The way I read your post is that you have two PCs, one for gaming and one for surfing... Id imagine your PC power draw would be less for surfing... suggest play less WOW and more OCN smile.gif

the new site was not ready to launch, that is the ultimate problem. It needed to undergo more rigerous performance testing and bug fixing before being released.

what I find amazing, is that most of the problem is well known about " comments on other huddler forums" and this is just a basic Huddler template for the most part.

So, I don't know who is being less then forthcoming here, but the truth is, these problems were widely known about long before the platform launch, and some people are not being honest about it.

I have to ask this. If you're worried about your electric bill to the point of using another PC besides your gaming one for browsing and all of your other uses, why is your daily PC using a Pentium D? That's about the epitome of poor performance to power consumption.

I kind of understand the OP's pain though, the machines at work are C2D with 2GB of RAM and it literally maxes out the CPU and RAM to change pages on here. In turn, that causes it to take 30 seconds or more to even be able to scroll after you click on something... its really frustrating.

You should take out a video card and lower the overclock/ enable speedstep

So your saying the platform was released prematurely, without adequate performance testing? And now we have a cover-up?

I have no knowledge of such things, so I can not comment on this /

I havnt had any problems with the site upgrade. Its a much cleaner look in my opinoin.Pages load just as fast as they did before. The only downside I see right now is that viewing the site thru tap-talk, I'm unable to use any messaging, and cant see any of the new for sale/wanted section of the forum. But I imagine eventually that will be fixed. Keep up the good work! thumb.gif

Haven't had a single hiccup on my desktop rigs, of course they are all way overkill for any type of webpage. Though it doesn't really bother me, it is most definitely way more of a resource hog than the previous incarnation. You may not ever notice it on your main computer's, but try it on any non dual core phone(maybe even the dualies, don't have one to test with) and you can instantly tell the difference. It takes 3x longer to load on my Evo than it did before. It eats at least that much more in battery as a consequence. I think(hope) they are making a more mobile and older desktop friendly site, it is in bad need of one. Overall I like the new site and runs great on our main rigs, but having all the new shinies and features does have its disadvantages, mainly in lower powered devices.
