So ive heard mixed reviews on on the closed loop hydro systems, some are saying they work great, and yet others say they work as good and even that some top of the line coolers such as the noctua nh-d14 and the thermalright silver arrow actually keep the cpu cooler.... now here is my question throw all personal preferences aside and tell me am i going to get better cooling on a i5 2500k ocd to 4.5 at 1.3v with the H100 or is it going to be throwing money out the window.... also ive noticed the fans that come with the H100 kinda blow/suck (no pun intended) i would have to up them to something with a bit more air displacement to be happy....

You ever look into one of THESE kits? They give you everything but distilled water to use for coolant

The gain in cooling on the h100 compared to the d14 is very minimal at load.

If you have the money to blow then go for the H100, otherwise stick with the D14. Regardless of which one you pick, Corsair and Noctua are both excellent companies and you can't go wrong with either.

Some reviews show the H100 getting lower temps than the d14. Even though reviews arnt always accurate we can conclude its a top contender.
The stock fans that come with the H100 push a ton of air on "high" mode, at least as much as my GentleTyphoon AP-15s. The corsair fans are loud as hell and is the reason I dont use them.
I have compared my stock corsair fans with my AP-15s here is what I have concluded.
On the low setting: Both fans are really quiet, but the AP-15s push a lot more air.
On medium setting: Corsair fans are loud and push the same amount of air as my AP-15s which are still really quiet.
On high setting: Corsair fans are really loud and push the same amount of air as my AP-15s which are still really quiet.

Tbh there is only like a 13-20$ difference between d14 and h100, so the question for you to answer before buying either is which one is more compatible for your case? The radiators for the h100 or the extreme size of the d14? I had a thread on this myself and just decided to spend more on a custom kit, but if I were to get this I would get the h100 ONLY BECAUSE the d14 would block the heatsink I had on my ram and even without the heatsink I didn't get the low profile vengeance ram so it would still get in the way.
