Case for liquid cooling, but external radiator

The plan is to build nice liquid cooling loop, but with external radiator (4x180mm mo-ra3), with feet, pump and reservoir attached to it, and very long tubing + quick connect fittings to the case. Something similar to this:

ra1ax.jpg

That can be put somewhere far away from the case and workstation, to reduce noise of fans and pump. Quiet is one of main goals here.

I know it might sound a bit silly, cause this setup can be used with virtually any case. True, but thing is, liquid cooling setup doesn't look as good in every case. And main goal here is pure aesthetics, what are your opinions, which case would be your personal choice, assuming used with entire rad+pump+res bundle, so lack of space for these parts inside is not a problem.
Also plan is to use mobo waterblocks, and ssd drives, so no airflow inside the case is needed - no fans (everything will be cooled by water, power supply in almost every case has its own intake).

Preferably good materials, no to plastic, aluminium, anodized alu interior (no powder coating if alu), a window, overall high quality. Can be full or mini atx, if atx not too large, cause there will be nothing to fill a full tower case (too empty - looks bad).

So far I have several choices, for example:

Lian Li NWX series PC-8NWX, PC-7FNWX, custom side panels since stock "X" shaped window is horrid.
Lian Li PC-1020R - awsome colors black interior + red panels, no fans means you see loop through front mesh, window only custom cut
Lian Li X900 - full black anodized, fanless front mesh shows loop, stock nice window
Lian Li A60C - limited edition, pure awesomeness, very hard to get and expensive
Silverstone T08-E - cheap option, steel budget case, window only custom cut, front panel mesh can be replaced with a window
Corsair 650D - quite cheap, not highest quality, steel except front panel; pros are nice dimensions, enough space for tube reservoir, good cable management

Suggestions are welcome.

There are some
plastic parts but it looks solid. I am just not sure about the USB3 upgrade.

haha I'm going to do exactly the same thing somewhere around Christmas

I'm moving my current system (classic Stacker, MO-RA 9 * 140) into a new case due to the Stacker being pretty bent and the lack of easy cable management, then put the MO-RA3 on feet instead of bolted to the case because of the ridiculous weight tongue.gif , and cool the whole case with just 1 single intake fan for the HDDs ... a friend is doing the same thing with his build using the Phobya 1080 rad

we both decided on the Fractal XL because of the noise isolation. I'm planning to put my 2 Aquastream pumps in the lower HDD space, then mod some fillports/passthrough ports, a space for my filter, and some extra power plug for the fans on the MO-RA (connected to the Aquaero ofcourse). I want to do a window as well although that is going to be somewhat though with the thick isolation on the side panels...

but if you are not using any mechanical HDDs and have the pump(s) somewhere external with the rad I guess you can pick any case you like as noise won't be an issue smile.gif I presume you have seen this pretty epic mATX build? He's using MO-RA's as well biggrin.gif

I appreciate your suggestions.

Antec Lanboy - very odd case, I would say more suited for internal loop (space for rads), not great materials (lots of plastic), and very peculiar design, doesn't really appeal to me
NZXT Phantom - tons of plastic, not really my favourite design
Fractal XL - rather big, plastic + steel, as I said, I'm looking for higher quality cases

If you want a high quality metal case you can't go wrong with anything from caselabs.

Yeah but, it defeats the point of going external rad+pump+reservoir. You don't want external radiator to use with huge case that can easily fit several rads internally. So far smallest case from caselabs is regular M8, that can take like 3x360 and still has plenty of room. Way too big.

They are definitely huge... If they made a mid I would jump on it.
