I ran my EVGA FTW3 w/ i7 950 at 3.4 GHz no problem on a 4 pin connector, just try it out, in the worst case, your system will have unstable voltages and give you a BSOD to let you know. Basically pick if you want to use the top four pins or the bottom four and go for it...that's what EVGA told me when I contacted their customer support!

Thanks guys. I had to make a new account, because all my passwords and stuff are kept in n password program, so idk any of my passwords, lol.
So far so good, except my CPU heatsink fan turns on, then turns off. Not sure why, but temps are the same. Probably due to my cases two fans right on top of the heatsink.
