[IndustryGamers] League of Legends: 32.5 Million Players - Page 2

The reason for the skyrocket in numbers is because HoN has become so crap, and Dota's getting outdated.

That's my way of seeing it.

Wait till Dota2 comes out, the LoL numbers will drop.

Smurf? wth.gif

You mean "alt" as in alternative accounts or "mule" as in an account made to hold items and milk benefits from?

I am not talking their bullcrap numbers but their ACTIVE ACCOUNT numbers.

Uhhhh WoW has over 11 million unique accounts.confused.gif That was before the first 20 levels were free.

Obviously inflated. Not a big deal considering it's a free game. WoW despite how it's gotten worse over time, managed to do a much better job with over 10million PAYING subscribers a month even to this day. DOTA2 will most likely take out a large portion of the playerbase of this game. It is Valve after all who makes good quality games. I am also curious to see how Blizzard's own official DOTA sc2 map for HOTS will be.

I really don't understand these diehard valve fans. I've played most of Valve's biggest games and I do not like any of them. That includes counter strike, team fortress 2, left 4 dead, left 4 dead 2.

It's a MMO. There's no such thing as skill in it as long as you're not completely retarded. It's all about who's the biggest nerd that plays the longest to get the best gear. Farming gold or buying it from Chinese farmers is the other part of "skill" in MMOs.

Their games might not be the best but at least they are PC only, with not many problems, get constant updates. There is nothing like CSS or TF2.

its like Dota, but a little more forgiving.

Its an kind of an mmo. Lots of people play it, you do get gear, you do farm for money... You cant buy gold from Chinese people, you start at level one each match, you start with 475 gold each match... a 5v5 match goes anywhere from 20-80 mins.

Divide by 5 to get actual #'s on the player base.

Not many people would pay 60$ outright for the game, but after getting sucked in and finding their favorite character they find themselves spending money on the game, some at a far higher # than 60$.
