BSOD With System_Service_Exception 3B

Thread Starter
Trying to figure out where my BSOD came from earlier tonight, as I have no idea what happened. I had quit BF3, and started to chat on facebook, and bam BSOD:

http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=sN1m63dY

Not sure why I got the BSOD, because I don't know what the heck happened. It's a fresh install of Windows 7 (only a week and a half old).

Thanks for the detailed bugcheck, I don't have my debug program setup with symbols to check dump files right now. Right now judging by what's listed there, I would say it's nothing more than a simple driver issue, especially considering you mentioned it's a fresh installation of Windows. I'd go ahead and say it's GPU drivers acting up, especially since Chrome crashed (could be GPU driver issue conflicting with Flash). I'd go ahead and try a previous driver version if you have the latest installed.

If it ends up not being a driver issue, I'd run a chkdsk to make sure your file system isn't the culprit. If it's not that either and your drivers look good, I'd move on to testing your memory. Make sure your memory's good. I'm assuming you're at stock, otherwise it's probably an unstable overclock. If you've ruled out hardware completely you can use driver verifier. It'll give you the exact process that's causing the BSOD (if it ends up being software).

I'm having this same issue. except mine started by overclocking my gpu. set it back to stock, but still the bsods keep rolling in. even on a different installation. (i have a non-raid backup boot drive for if my main hdd messes up or dies.)
