Samsung 830 series - lacks proper documentation

Thread Starter
The Samsung web site is horrible. It doesn't allow you to post any questions, and the
question form only shows the older ssd and no option for the current series.
Whoever runs that support site needs to be fired.

There's no data on what is optimal cluster size for the "triple core" ssd controller.

The discs that come with the drive don't offer to prepare the drive, so I can't even use a
default utility.

Anyone know what the cluster size should be? This is ridiculous.

Zombie bump. My Samsung 830 sector size is 512 bytes.. but I've been seeing 4k for a lot of other SSDs :/ . Also, Intel Rapid Storage Technology utility is reporting Logical Sector size, 512byte, physical sector size: 512byte. No clue if this means they're supposed to be 512 byte sectors though. My performance is approximately what it should be, I think.

Yea but its aligned for 4096k. Even my HDD which is 4096k aligned shows in the IRST as 512...whatever that is...?
