Upgrade Now or wait for IB + Kepler / Southern Island

Thread Starter
I hate to beat a dead horse but with Kepler and Southern Island GPU's as well as Ivy bridge CPU's just around the corner is it worth it to use this black Friday to get good deals on new hardware or should i hold out for the new Hardware which will hopefully be substantially better. I am in need of an upgrade and am doing a complete overhaul. Upgrading CPU GPU And MOBO and anything else that is necessary to make sure everything works well, however i would hate to drop all that cash for a nice machine if newer hardware is coming out soon.

decision would be easier to make if we knew what you are currently using.

Patience is a virtue that pays more in relief than money. I'd wait for the new stuff if you can wait, if not just wait smile.gif

Would be easier to give you an answer if you told us what you have now.

I could care less what you've got now honestly. I buy when I've got the cash. The waiting game will ALWAYS leave you waiting for the next best thing.

If you upgrade now into something beastly, an Ivy Bridge upgrade + Kepler really wouldn't cost you too terribly much out of pocket, since you'd have a nice SB chip + GTX 5xx to sell to make up some of those funds. smile.gif
