You can't go wrong with a Crucial M4 SSD and 120hz isn't really worth what you'll gain from it. For that price or less you could get a nice 27". Here's what I have. Keep an eye out these go on sale all the time, I got mine for $270. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824254052

a single dell u2311 is also a nice monitor as well, IPS panel. If you dont care about colour though and are ALL about gaming, then its not the best as its not as fast as a TN and more expensive. Ive never noticed ghosting or anything on my u23 though. Otherwise some of the samsung TN panel monitors are quite nice. BenQ is good for cheaper monitors. Ive never used a 120hz myself so i cant tell you if its worth it or not. Hopefully all this helps a little bit though.

OP, I would recommend you check out the monitors yourself in a B&M environment and compare across 60Hz vs. 120Hz and IPS vs. TN panels to see what is the best for your needs. You might not notice the difference between 60Hz and 120Hz and be fine with a 60Hz TN panel, in which case you could save a ton of cash that could go to other components.

But if you can afford that 120hz HP one I'm sure it will be great. But im not a monitor guru, although i do love my dell u2311's they are great. Anyways im off now, good luck with it, hope i helped out in one way or another.

Nah, something like a U3011, ZR2740w, U2711, and some NEC PA monitors.
