6950 CFX freezing and sucking.

So, i have 2 6950 Twin Frozr III's in crossfire. I'm getting very poor performance and freezing all the time.
Both cards work just fine as single.

On Eyefinity 5760x1080 BF3 SP medium settings got around 40fps. Got through the metro map and it froze in the next mission. Afterburner shows both gpu's were @ 99% load. When using Eyefinity i get freezing after 1-5minutes.. and most of the time it's "Amd display driver stopped working blahblahblah"
Soon after that it will probably bsod 116. Atleast when i try to launch a game it will instantly bsod.

@ 1080p i'm getting around 50fps with single card high settings and cfx makes it unstable = fps running around 30-50 and peaking at 70 sometimes. It also is giving flickering screen/terrain so it's pretty much unplayable. Several "Amd display driver stopped working"'s also.

So far, i've tried 11.10 Preview3, 11.10 + cap4. 11.11 with and without cap1/cap2.
ULPS modified in registry.
Tried adding a bit voltage to gpu's.. useless.
Temps are fine also.

I've uninstalled drivers with atiman uninstaller, used driver sweeper also since it leaves some drivers/registry stuff behind..
Restarted after every damn operation. Installed new OS.. Installed drivers with one card installed and after that i installed second gpu..
Also, i've used gpu's in 16x/16x - 16x/8x and 8x/8x to be sure that my ports are working.
but nothing seems to work.

I also tried to play Dirt 3. Cfx = instant freezing when @ load.

I need a little help here.. i'm pretty much out of ideas mad.gif

hmm? Well, i've been thinking of that too actually. But i've earlier run memtest and prime for several hours with these sticks. They are 1600 CL9 what can be run CL8 with stock voltage. I've been running them @ CL9 and set timings myself.

Cards are idling @ 43c & 37c degrees.. don't know what are load temps, but i don't think they're high since fans aren't screaming like maniacs as they do after 75c.

Get/go to gpu-z and see what temp three reaches. At 75* on the core temp 3 could be reaching like 90*. I have a sapphire toxic 6950 and i like it much better than the tf3. It never gets over 59* while gaming and is reasonably quiet.

Power issue maybe? A cpu OC that high and two 6950's are cutting it close on that psu. Is your OC stable? Try going down to 4.5ghz and see what happens. Also maybe one of your pci-e slots on that mobo has gone south.

man I've been having the same issues lately as OP... my cfx 6950's just plain suck when together but individually they work fine .... and i know my temps are ok since they don't go past 69C but even in older games like MW2 and also MW3 I get hard crashes after a few mins of gameplay ... L4D2 also seems to have the same issue though it lasts a little longer before the crash .... I just don't freakin get it with AMD the hardware is awesome but their software @#@$!!#!#!!! ... been happening since I was on 11.5 now I'm on 11.10 but still no luck
